Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge is a stylish and idyllic resort hovering above a thriving coral reef beyond a tip of coastline in Bocas Del Toro.
Accommodation comprises a series of 9 palm-thatched cabanas, connected by a single boardwalk raised above the warm clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Constructed using traditional methods of the archipelago, each cabana is split over two levels providing a spacious interior decorated in warm natural tones. Comfort is provided by rattan and hardwood furnishings, a canopied king size bed and soft sofa-bed seats. All cabanas feature a private shower room and the patio doors open out onto a veranda with steps leading directly into the sea below. A remarkable blend of Caribbean and Mediterranean inspired dishes are presented attractively in the resort restaurant while a variety of tropical cocktails and wines are available at the fully-stocked bar.
Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge organizes daily excursions to local Indian villages and to some of the most isolated beaches within the archipelago. Boat trips with local fishermen are often popular, as are hikes into the adjacent rainforest in search of exotic wildlife. The lodge also operates a regular shuttle service into Bocas town.
